This position supervises all aspects of maintenance of the High Point Distribution Center. The DC is just under 345,000 sq ft with expansion potential for 137,000 sq ft additional. The facility is equipped with 34 ft ceiling height, 30 dock doors, fully sprinkled, officespace, mezzanine and warehouse space. This position is accountable for all aspects of supervision of the 3-4 person maintenance team including but not limited to development, coaching and overall management. Accountable for compliance with all GSS, environmental, and PLC to assure that the facility’s maintenance and mechanical operations are effective and efficient.

The Merchandising Artist in the Graphic Systems group supports the posting and creation of product images and art files, and the corresponding data set-up to publish to gfsionline, QuickGuide and other internal GFS tools. Additionally, the artist will work with teams on the development and support of White Label sites, retailer drop-ship/virtual inventory as well as digital garment/art images for our sites and retailer’s sites. The artist will perform daily quality assurance and trouble-shooting tasks for product and art files used in these systems. The artist will support the web developers with data setup, and image and art template creation as needed. The artist will research and verify institutional data (high school and un-licensed college) verifying the accuracy of team colors, mascots, location, etc. The artist will communicate effectively with multiple departments here and at HBI corporate.

Accountable for all aspects of managing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department (3 shifts) and the supervision of the employees. Supervisory responsibilities include but not limited to development, coaching, and overall management. Accountable for compliance with all GSS, environmental, and PLC to assure that the facility’s maintenance and mechanical operations are effective and efficient, including preventative maintenance. This is a “working supervisor” role. As such, a high level of PLC, trades and/or maintenance experience on warehousing mechanical and other systems expertise is highly important.
